About the Templates & Your Membership

What You Receive with a Membership
You will receive access to all of our web templates shown in the public tour area for the term of the membership plan you purchase. Each web template consists of one HTML table-based page with graphics as shown in the preview images, a custom designed style sheet (CSS) specifically created for that template, access to an online Template To-Do Checklist to assist you every step of the way, free tech support through a Ticket System, access to a Knowledge Base of common questions regarding editing our templates, and many other web elements (graphics, generic HTML forms and pages) that compliment the templates. Members have an option to buy the PSD file for a template at only $3.50 each, if needed.

What You Receive when Purchasing Individual Templates
All of our templates will always be priced at only $5.00 USD each. You do not have to be a member to purchase our templates at this price. (Member's price is less than .12¢ each!) Each web template consists of one HTML page with graphics as shown in the preview images, a custom designed style sheet (CSS) specifically created for that template, free tech support through a Ticket System, and access to a Knowledge Base of common questions regarding editing our templates. Nonmembers have an option to buy the PSD file for a template at only $5.00 each, if needed. The great news is that if you decide to subscribe to a membership plan later, we will deduct the total amount you paid on individual templates from the current membership subscription rate!

Minimal Graphics
The majority of our templates contain minimal graphics to enable fast page loading times across various types of Internet connections. Most templates load in less than 12 seconds on an Internet connection speed of 33.6 bps. These are NOT sliced/diced templates that are plopped into a smidgen' of HTML and labeled professional. Many of the components within the templates are interchangeable with each other making the quantity of possible layouts limited to your imagination. No other template membership resource designs their template components to be interchangeable with each other. Thus you are limited to that one design only unless you know extensive design techniques. Those who know extensive design techniques will more than likely design their own templates and not buy them elsewhere at $50+ each, right? ;)

We use External CSS with our Templates. Why? Why don't other template designers use External CSS?
Read our article explaining why external CSS is important to use on your web site, and find out why many template designers do not use it. In summary, it is either negligence, lack of interest or knowledge in anything other than beginning HTML or a rush to produce quantity to sell a meager product. Unfortunately, the one who suffers the most in the long run is the end user. BasicTemplates are all strategically designed for web site effectiveness and all come with a custom, external style sheet specifically create for each template.

Sold As Is
The templates are sold as is. This simply means it is assumed the member has some knowledge of HTML to personalize the web templates for their use; we cannot grant refunds on digital products. We provide customer support via an online support desk ticketing system to aid consumers in using the templates. If you have a basic understanding of HTML you will not have any problems using our templates. They work quite well with all HTML editors as they are standard HTML with external CSS to control fonts, colors and other cosmetic properties.

Customer Service After the Sale - Always!
No matter how big or how small your order, your support inquires have our undivided attention. We do our best to guide our customers and members through the rough spots, and we understand how frustrating it can be not to have support questions answered in a timely manner. Therefore, rather than have important support inquiries come into our email Inboxes which is flooded daily with SPAM and taking the risk of potentially losing valuable support inquiries, we installed a Customers Support Help Desk Ticket System (right side of page). You will be required to register a support desk account prior to submitting your first ticket. This technically advanced support feature helps you organize your support ticket inquiries as well as our replies to you. You can also print and search your tickets for future reference. It also helps our staff who are located across the country review your support ticket history, so we can better serve your needs. Your support questions and inquiries will always be answered in a timely manner regardless of whether you purchase 20 templates, a full membership or just one $5.00 web template. Everyone receives the same quality, free technical support.

For a minimal cost you are receiving a quality product that is evident of our experience in the field, indicates an exceptional focus on detail, and a lasting customer support relationship. We have have been involved in web site template design as early as 1994 and have over ten years of graphic design experience. Rest assured you are buying quality. We are unlike the other bulk access template designers you may have unfortunately encountered. Each of our templates are as close to a finished web site in themselves as you could possibly find unless you purchased the full site completely custom designed.

Our templates, style sheets, graphics and code may NOT be resold, redistributed, disassembled, reverse engineered, added to any type of collection or media online or offline, offered for download from any web site nor placed online for browse-to-buy or other type viewing purposes. Our templates may not be used in any online display of sample web sites. You may NOT extract images or code from the templates or style sheets to sell or distribute in any manner. You may NOT use any component of our templates or site content to produce what could be directly or indirectly considered a competitive venture against us. The sole purpose for these templates is to be used on your web sites or your clients' web sites for normal viewing, navigation and utilitarian purposes for a complete, fully functional and fully customized web site developed by YOU. You may not offer them for download or resale or in a live pick/choose environment whether it be public or private. NOTE: The keywords here are "complete, fully functional and fully customized web site for you or your clients". You may *not* place our templates in whole or in part in any type of software whether online or offline nor on any type of media or server. This includes but is not limited to utilizing them as pick/choose designs in content management systems, hosting control panels or other build-your-site type programs for your customers. You are not permitted to create websites from our designs in whole or in part and mass resell or redistribute them. Mass is defined as more than one website. You are not permitted to create websites from our designs that violate the legal rights of any person or policies declared by another company. This includes but is not limited to the policies of search engines. You are not permitted to offer our designs to anyone in whole or in part as any type of incentive to buy hosting, software, or other type products or services.

Memberships are sold as a one-person access license and are not transferable to another user. Companies employing more than one person who will need access or utilize our designs in any manner must purchase an individual membership for each designer. There are no exceptions. Account sharing or allowing anyone access to your one-person account for any reason is strictly prohibited, well monitored, and will result in immediate termination without a refund. The use of automated download software on our site or in the members area is prohibited, will result in immediate termination of your account without a refund. We reserve the legal right to limit the number of copyrighted files being downloaded from any membership account within a 24-hour period.

Using anonymous proxy servers or other methods that mask your real IP within the members area is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate termination without a refund. We respect the privacy of all our members, however, our business security and longevity is equally as important. Any behavior by a member which threatens our business security or the security of other members will have their accounts terminated without a refund. All activity on our website is well documented and any abuse of our terms of use, policies or website security is reported to all appropriate ISPs, parent hosting companies, online fraud organizations which notify other membership-type/software companies, and local law enforcement agencies in the areas where the offenders reside.

No link back is required to our website but is always appreciated. Web designers are permitted to use our web templates on their clients' web sites without a limitation to the number of sites they may use each individual template on and without having to re-purchase the template again. Every website which utilizes our designs must have a valid license number (invoice number). Those that do not have a legal license to use our designs will have their website disabled by their parent web hosting company for copyright infringement violations.

All sales are final. Our templates are classified as copyrighted, commercial software; once opened (accessed via a membership account) or sent from our mail servers they cannot be returned nor refunds honored. This is the industry standard for software licensing agreements. You may use our copyrighted material only within our terms. As the original copyright holders, BasicTemplates.com makes the sole determination as to whether the use of our designs and membership services is within our terms.
