What is JavaScript?

JavaScript was developed by Netscape and is used to allow web designers to create web sites that contain dynamic content. JavaScript is a scripting language that is closely related to Java object oriented programming. The source code interacts with HTML, DHTML and XML to develop JavaScripts that are used for a variety of processes.

The advanced technology of JavaScript allows a user to design software applications for any server that supports web browsers. Most domain hosting companies will support any website that uses JavaScript for navigation, cookies, menu selection, and other events such as PHP or CGI programming.

There are many examples and resources available on the Internet that will provide you with updated articles and tips for JavaScript. You’ll find that JavaScript methods are easy to lean and after one tutorial you’ll be ready to develop your own useful scripts.

There are several advantages to using JavaScript. Some of these advantages include:

- JavaScript is fast which means that a code function can run quickly instead of waiting for a response from the server.

- JavaScript provides solid security for a window based environment.

- You can use JavaScript with many other program languages and it can be placed in most web pages regardless of the type of file extension that isused.

- You can use JavaScript within other scripts that have been created in other programming languages such as PHP and Perl.

- Since JavaScript is client side it places less demand on the server.

JavaScript is one tool that you’ll want to use to create dynamic web pages for your business. The more tools that you have available for your web development, the more unique content you can include on your business website.
