What's Coming in 2005
We are continually working to improve our designs and services for you. It will be no different in 2005 except for we are working harder than ever before. Below you will find only a few of the first features, changes, etc. coming your way from BasicTemplates.com in 2005.
One of the first things you will see is more frequent newsletters delivering originally authored articles, tips and ideas to help your business grow and educating our readers in the fundamentals of "effective" web design. There is sadly too much confusion in the web design world as to what is effective and what is not. All too often, what you think is effective actually has the opposite effect on your business objectives.
Secondly, a new service will be introduced during the first quarter of 2005. It will indeed be of interest to all webmasters worldwide as well as our existing customer database which has grown in the last 10 years to over 100,000 satisfied webmasters. Thanks to all of you for making BasicTemplates a continued success.
Third, several of our staff members have promised to publish blog entries relative to the tons of feedback we are receiving from YOU. The themes of these blog entries will range from their own opinions on web site design, what software/hardware they use and their personal opinions and feelings on current affairs worldwide. For example, one of our designers will be sharing her opinion of the Scott Peterson double murder trial. If you have been reading our blog, you likely participated in our surveys on this contraversial topic. We receive dozens of emails every day regarding our blog entries on hundreds of topics, and we will be personally responding to them to provide you with even more originally authored material.

Get Organized Checklist for Web Designers
If you are like most web designers, December is one of your slowest months ... if not the slowest - especially during the last two weeks of the year.
Why? Because most folks are busy with holiday shopping, attending parties and preparing for the many traditions this time of year brings to their already busy lives.
That's okay though. Use this time wisely and effectively. There really should never be any "slow time" in your planner or appointment book. All of your time should be managed as effectively as possible.

Gift Certificates Now Delivered via Email
Great news! You can now get your purchased gift certificates delivered via email as an image attachment. Just print it, wrap it and give it to the lucky recipient who will be thanking you for a very, very long time. This gift is not only limited to the Christmas holiday, folks. Profession Specific Web Templates
BasicRic and I have been working on restructuring and cross-referencing our final web template category, Profession Specific. This category will be split apart into separate categories relative to specific professions. We've been working on this category now for two days and hoped to have it done this week. We may yet, but it has developed into a much larger project than expected. Thus far we have 13 [new] off-shoot categories and perhaps two or three more after its all said and done.

As a reminder to our loyal customers and visitors, it is important to note that our web design articles, tutorials and tips located at BasicTips.com were originally authored by our web template designers to assist you in further developing your BasicTemplate into an effective website.
Responsible, experienced, caring and truly talented template designers write their own articles and are acutely aware that the information they are passing along is accurate and relative to their own designs so that it assists their customers and does not waste their time.
If you purchased a web template elsewhere and the template designer is providing you with irrelevant articles and tutorials that are contradictory of their template designs, find a new template designer who truly cares about their customers. If they are providing you with irrelevant misinformation, the template you purchased from them is likely to be of the same ineffective quality or perhaps has been illegally reproduced from another source (which you are legally liable if you use it on your website). Such template designers are not interested in their customers' needs if they cannot or will not take the time to author tutorials and articles relative to their own template designs.
Keep in mind, the scientifically proven cause and effect factor. Reading and following a hogg-pogg of contradictory articles and tutorials will result in developing a hogg-pogg website which is not effective for your needs and wastes your valuable time.

Scott Peterson: Guilty and Death Penalty
Our most recent survey regarding the penalty phase trial for Scott Peterson has been closed. Although we did not receive the same degree of respondents for this survey as we did the Guilty vs. Not Guilty survey, the results were clear:
LIFE IN PRISON: 41.2% (7 respondents) DEALTH PENALTY: 58.8% (10 respondents) Total Respondents: 17
I have been receiving a number of ongoing emails from our BasicBlog readers about my thoughts and opinions in this murder trial, so in the next few days I hope to have my thoughts published to this blog for you.
